Marco Caneva is in his third decade of roaming the world of global finance, having been involved in well over a hundred mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and capital raisings for corporates, family offices, and institutional investors. Before co-founding Calit Advisors, he spent a decade at Goldman Sachs in London, and then became the CIO for a multi-billion single-family office.
Marco also sits on the board of directors of four publicly traded companies. His vast international experience brings a unique perspective to Chairs and CEOs. He has led risk committees and often serves as a as liaison between the boards and institutional investors.
He holds a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Genoa, an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA, and is a reserve Italian Navy Officer. He is a recurring guest on multiple NFL and hard rock music podcasts because life can get tiresome in financial markets. He has been spotted watching the same play over and over again during football season with the same focus and zeal he brings to the negotiating table.
Lenore Elle Hawkins brings over 25 years of experience in finance, asset valuation, strategic planning, risk management, and operations optimization. Her unique background gives her a breadth of experience in building and restructuring companies, from early-stage software to high-tech industrials. Some evolved into industry leaders, and some succumbed to failure, giving her invaluable insight into identifying those industries and management teams poised for success and those more likely to struggle. Before Calit Advisors, she worked at companies ranging from Accenture and JP Morgan to the leading dotcom incubator in the early 2000s.
Elle co-authored the book Cocktail Investing: Distilling Everyday Noise into Clear Investment Signals for Better Returns, released by John Wiley & Sons in April 2016. She is a contributor to Nasdaq.com, where she writes about disruptive technologies. She is a regular guest on various national and international investing-oriented television programs, podcasts, and on-demand video services, and is a frequent guest speaker at conferences worldwide where she discusses the markets, economics, and global politics. She holds a degree in Mathematics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA, and is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society.
